On Saturday we saw this lovely Blue Jay sitting on the bird bath.

And then he took a dive…..

It is hard to believe that just two weeks ago these birds were splashing around in our fountain in the front yard. Since then, the schools have been closed several days and the city has stood still due to snow and cold weather. I have a feeling I will see these little birds back in my fountain this weekend, because this is Texas, and if you wait a day, the warm winds will blow again. Temperatures will be back in the 60’s by Saturday…….Good Bye Old Man Winter !!!

I caught these two love birds in our yard on Saturday. They sat on top of the flower bowl for quite awhile and posed for many pictures. It was such a beautiful weekend to be in the garden. Thank God Spring is finally Here !!

Is it Spring Yet?

The robins are so confused. As you know, they have been hanging out in our trees for the past few weeks. Today we saw hundreds in the skies flying above the falling snow at P&B’s Garden chirping ….. “When is it going to be spring in Dallas? It is way past due and there is no warm place to build nests this year.”

We were surprised to see several finches with the robins. Here are a few of my best shots ……and still learning all about my new camera.

It was difficult to find a weekly blog posting today

because there is nothing going on at P&B’s Garden as we wait for Spring……

The birds continue to gathering in all the trees…… just waiting………

Inside Paul built us a roaring fire to keep us warm as we wait………….

Herbs are flourishing in the kitchen window ….also waiting……….

This week the weather in Big D will be lows in the upper 20’s

so we will continue to wait……..

More Birds Today

Tonight I got home from work when it was still light out, what a treat that was after the long dark winter months. I went out to take a walk in the garden and looked up into the tree. Our friend from yesterday invited many more to join at P&B Garden.

We just love a full house, they must have known……..Welcome Spring !!!

First Sign of Spring at PB Garden

Today I got to capture the first sign of spring with my new camera. This robin red breast was sitting at the very top of our tree signing a lovely song and I zoomed in for this shot. Thank you again for my new camera, Paul, Brian and Jennifer, I love it.
