One Last Bulb

This year I put an amaryllis bulb in the middle of my paperwhite bulb arrangement.  All the paperwhite bulbs bloomed first.  I cut off the tops of the paperwhites and left the leaves in the bowl as a backdrop to the amaryllis bulb.  It turned out really pretty.

The Bulbs of Christmas 2011

This year I tried several varieties of Amaryllis bulbs and it was hard to choose my favorite. I can’t wait until next Christmas!
Elvas Amaryllis, Lemon Star Amaryllis, Splash Amaryllis, Paperwhites.

Conservatory In the Making

More Blooms in Time for Christmas

This bulb is called “Splash”.

I think I might give up [...]

Spring 2011

Beautiful Hyacinth poking their heads out of the soil this weekend.

Spring is Here

Red Lion Amaryllis

Yesterday I posted about my favorite amaryllis for 2010 the “Red Pearl”, but today the “Red Lion” was in [...]

As the song goes….”Everybody’s Working for the Weekend”…. When the weekend comes, we are overwhelmed with all the projects and things we have to get done in two short days.  This morning as I was making my list, I reflected back on the last month of Christmas holiday festivities and realized there had not been [...]

Cannas Sweet November Blooms

This beauty will not stop blooming, it is as lovely as the first day of spring.  It continues to produce the most exquisite blooms ever.  This November morning, I got to see it for myself.  What a lovely day I had.
