A Look Back at a Magnificent Visitor

Tonight I came across a picture I took of a grasshopper that visited our garden on August 30, 2008.  As there has been nothing to post about recently with all this winter weather and in extreme anticipation and celebration of Big D rounding the turn towards the most anxiously awaited spring in P&B’s Garden History [...]

Is it Spring Yet?

The robins are so confused.  As you know, they have been hanging out in our trees for the past few weeks.  Today we saw hundreds in the skies flying above the falling snow at P&B’s Garden chirping ….. “When is it going to be spring in Dallas?  It is way past due and there is [...]

Super Bowl Sunday and Waiting !

It was difficult to find a weekly blog posting today
because there is nothing going on at P&B’s Garden as we wait for Spring……

The birds continue to gathering in all the trees…… just waiting………

Inside Paul built us a roaring fire to keep us warm as we wait………….

Herbs are flourishing in the kitchen window ….also [...]

Spring is Coming

I went to Calloway’s this weekend to buy some pansies.  I saw this sign at their front door and just had to smile.   I am so happy that Spring is coming.  I am so tired of leaving for work in the dark and coming home in the dark.
And today it is warm and on Friday [...]

More Birds Today

Tonight I got home from work when it was still light out, what a treat that was after the long dark winter months.   I went out to take a walk in the garden and looked up into the tree.  Our friend from yesterday invited many more to join at P&B Garden.
We just love a full [...]

First Sign of Spring at PB Garden

Today I got to capture the first sign of spring with my new camera.  This robin red breast was sitting at the very top of our tree signing a lovely song and I zoomed in for this shot.  Thank you again for my new camera, Paul, Brian and Jennifer, I love it.

A New Direction

On Monday a very special person I know will begin a new opportunity.  Today I had to reflect on portions of an old saying about people that come into your life for a reason, season or a lifetime.  “When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come [...]

Flowers and Friendships Continue to Bloom Year after Year !

This rose produces a beautiful array of blooms every year and never fails me, just like my friendship with my two special friends Carey and Wendy.  This weekend we had a wonderful time on a girls trip to McKinney, TX, great shops, great food, lots of laughter and wonderful memories.  [...]

A Sunny Yellow Wednesday

When I got home from work I found yellow mums and yarrow blooming in the front garden.  Yellow is such a sunny color and always makes me happy.  Mums are a great perennial and bloom in spring and fall.  My yarrow does not always bloom each spring but when it does it was worth the [...]
