Flashback – Then and Now
As we prepare for spring it is a great time to flashback and look at the evolution of the garden over the past almost 6 years. Our garden has evolved into an inspiration for neighbors and friends who ask us for help in building their own gardens. Paul plans to build a different trellis for the sweet autumn clematis across the archway so it does not get so unruly. We also talked about building a courtyard and an arched doorway that would enclose the front of the house. The courtyard would be very unique to this area as it is truly Californian. I love the mystery of a courtyard with a big beautiful garden gate which leaves you to wonder what is growing behind it. Do you think that would go over in Texas?

Bonnie,
It is a real joy to visit your blog. You have a wonderful gift.
I don’t know if you have heard about this before but while watching ‘Texas Country Reporter’ last week I thought of you. The story was about a guy in Texas that invented an innovative way to kill fire ants. Please visit antagonizer.com and tell me what you think. It sounded very interesting to me.
Your a special friend,
Bryan

You’ve done an amazing job…lots of work! Your home and landscaping are just beautiful! A courtyard…how nice! I had one outside my office a few years ago and it brought many moments of relaxation when needed! Go for it!

What a difference in the before and after shots. I love your house. I can get lost in it just by sitting down, relaxing and looking around.
