On Saturday we saw this lovely Blue Jay sitting on the bird bath.

Chinese Wisteria
Our wisteria is going to have a much bigger place to spread out as soon as Paul finishes the Garden Studio. Should be this weekend….pictures to follow soon.
Peonies
My peonies have already come and gone already. I never see any peony bushes around town so I definitely think it is a midwestern beauty. 
I heard there is a new peony bush that has a second bloom and I would love to have one but I am running out of room !! I visited the American Peony Society Website for more information.

Belinda’s Dream Rose was a nice compliment to my peonies. It is a lovely fragrant rose.

I snapped a picture of these snaps last Saturday before the cold snap. Where did our warm temperatures go? I wish they would snap back soon…..It’s time to garden !!
Tulips are Too Hard in Texas
This is the second year I tried and failed at tulips. Last November, I put these tulip bulbs in the refrigerator for their 6 weeks of pretend winter. I planted them in January. I followed all the instructions and only 3 came up and one of those was a dud.
I think I might give up on trying to prepare my own tulip bulbs and just buy the bulb packs from Home Depot next year. They were perfect, but not as much fun and twice as much money money.
