Although the yard held up well during the 100 degree heat, you can definitely see a difference now that the temperature has dropped below three digits and we got some much needed rain. What a lovely time of year.

So Thankful on my Birthday

It is June 3rd and I am 55 years old today.

It sometimes seems like it took a long time to get here when I stop and think about every single moment ….(whew too much)….. but it actually took literally no time at all for these 55 years to pass by. On milestone birthdays we all think back and say what we could have done different, but I, for one, would not change one step that I took in my life as each path made me who I am today.

As I look around I enjoy so many lovely miracles in my life and thank everyone for making my birthday so very special today and everyday. It is a wonderful day in P&B’s garden.

Friends in the Garden

Today I could not wait to get home to spend time in the yard before I went to workout. Our cannas have been blooming beautifully all year and today one of our garden friends came by to take a rest on one of the leaves. Meet Lizzie Below. We have so many lizards in our yard and they love to pose for pictures. They are also very good listeners

We love the lizards because they are an important part of a perfect eco system and that is why we called our East Garden “Lizzie Lane” in their honor.
