Not just any rose from P&B’s garden, Mr. Lincoln Rose– our absolute favorite –is picked tonight in honor of this new online continuing education class offered at El Centro College in Dallas on the Basics of Credentialing. This three week course beginning June 8, 2009, is the first in a series of online continuing education courses in medical staff services that will be offered at El Centro College. This class is not only online but it is affordable at less than $10 a credit hour and is taught by one of our most knowledgeable and recognized professionals in our field, Cindy Gassiot.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of Medical Staff Professionals proudly sponsors this class as part of our strategic plan to offer alternative methods of education offerings that are close to home, affordable and always of high quality.

To register and pay by credit card, call the Continuing Education Division at 214-860-2260 or 214-860-2696 and ask for course number MSST 2000.54101. Credit for 10 CEU’s is being requested from NAMSS for this first course of the series.

The textbook, The Medical Staff Services Handbook: Fundamentals and Beyond, by Gassiot, Searcy and Giles, is available from Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. Please note that it takes two weeks to receive the textbook if ordered online.

If you have new staff in your department needing in-depth information on credentialing, this course is perfect for them. It is also a good refresher for those of you who need CEU’s to maintain your credentials. Don’t delay, register today!

For more information on the Basics of Credentialing course or El Centro College’s 64-credit hour online Associate Degree in Medical Staff Services, please contact Cindy Gassiot at: cgassiot@satx.rr.com.
