Lisianthus Thriving Despite Brutal Heat

This year I tried something new that I Iearned about from my friend Shannon at Skye Flower Field.  They are called lisianthus.  A beatiful, delicate rose like flower that grows on a very tall fragile stalk.  Despite the high temperatures and no rain, they did very well.   They are very difficult to start from seed, so I bought them already started from Shannon in the spring.   I have thoroughly enjoyed this lovely flower and my new friend Shannon with her beautiful flower fields.
