Mission Statement for the Garden

2869

The Christmas season kept me so busy I have not had time to work on my blog and so tonight when I got home I found myself immediately drawn to the computer. As I wind down from the scurry of the office and reflect on my day's work, coincidently the first article I ran across this evening is from Helen who suggests you write a mission statement for your garden. This is a very business like thing to do for a place that is your getaway from work activities and business-like thinking, but I really liked the idea. Helen's Garden called "Helen's Haven" in Raleigh North Carolina is a certified wildlife garden by the National Wildlife Federation as well as a certified Monarch Waystation. How impressive and so very interesting. I loved Helen's pictures and her mission statement. Read Helen's entire article by pasting this link into your browser: http://gardensgardens.wordpress.com/2008/12/31/writing-a-gardens-mission... I plan to start working on our mission statement for our garden with Paul and will keep you posted on our progress. In the meantime, thank you Helen for sharing this inspiring thought. It will certainly be on our list of things to do for 2009. Happy New Year Everyone !!
