Photography Lesson #2

Today I met Bruce Rosensteil of Small World Photos for my second photography lesson at the Botanical Gardens in Grapevine. It was an overcast day so I learned about low lighting. We also focused in on a waterfall and caught it in still motion and with movement.

What A Perfect Day

I could not wait to get home today. It was 70 degrees outside, the sun was shining and my garden was waiting for me. The smiley face of this tulip caught my eye and I could not resist posting it tonight. What a perfect day !!

Photography Lesson #1

When Paul and I got married we received a beautiful wedding card from Bobby and Lydia. It was a photograph printed on card stock paper of two parrots kissing which was taken in the exotic country of Brazil. The card was uniquely hand-made by Bruce Rosensteil of Small World Photos.

Love Birds

I caught these two love birds in our yard on Saturday. They sat on top of the flower bowl for quite awhile and posed for many pictures. It was such a beautiful weekend to be in the garden. Thank God Spring is finally Here !!

Did they move the Equator?

Why has it been so cloudy and cold here in Dallas this year. It has been the longest winter ever. The sun finally came out today and gave my bulbs some warmth so they could finally pop their heads through the soil. Thank goodness. Happy Spring !!

A Lighter Very Happy Valentine's Day

Today it is cold and windy and the sun is all covered up by a gray, cloudy sky. I have lost 14 pounds on my diet but I can't stop thinking about wanting to have some cookies, a large bowl of ice cream and a package of M&M's.

Is it Spring Yet?

The robins are so confused.? As you know, they have been hanging out in our trees for the past few weeks. Today we saw hundreds in the skies flying above the falling snow at P&B's Garden chirping .....
