Lizzie Lane - Almost Done

Today Paul put the final coat on the stain and the paint. The latterns we found were perfect. The next thing we are going to do is design the landscape.

What a morning at P&B's Garden

I am so glad it is Saturday. I had my coffee and read a new garden magazine in the shade garden. Earlier last month the hostas were still in bloom and breathtaking.

It's Saturday and Paul is working on the door to Lizzie Lane.  The frosted windows on the door are very interesting but we thought it shut off the area and took away from the the open concept of the garden rooms.

Lizzie Lane Update

Paul worked on the door to Lizzie Lane yesterday in between football games. Paul was glad to have Dad's tools, as he used the router to do some of the work and the saw to cut the boards. The squirrels already love to use the top of the door to get across to the fence.

In between the football games today, Paul worked on the door. He has a few weekends to go but he did get the frame and door hung. We were glad to have Dad's saw to cut off the top to fit the frame. Next weekend we will knock out the windows and paint the door red.?

A few weeks ago Paul went to the scrap yard and found a great door. If you had asked me anything about what we would do with a door, I would not have known. But Paul had ideas and I just love when he does. This is the start of the project we are going to call "Lizzie Lane".
