Spring Is Here

2869

Spring is here, but we are still getting blooms from our Christmas bulbs.  This Red Lion Amaryllis just opened for us.  Lovely backdrop to our still very brown and dormant yard.

Welcome to a New Decade of Gardening

2869

I never knew when we walked through this yard in the spring of 2003, that such a beautiful garden would evolve and exist today.  Although I scaled back due to my life threatning allergy, Paul helped me keep my passion going.

Mother of Thousands

2869

There are two plants that get confused often, it is mother of millions and mother of thousands.  The mother of thousands has a much broader leaf.  Jennifer gave me this Mother of Thousands on Mother's Day.  It takes low light and low water.  It produces thousands of little baby plants on each le

Summer 2019 Coming to a Close

2869

This had to be our best garden yet.  After building it for the last 16 years we finally have somewhat of a grasp on what does well and what does not.  It just keeps getting better just like me and Paul.

2019 Candle Trees

2869

These candle trees are the most amazing plants.  They start out about 5 inches tall and by the end of the summer you have an amazing tree of beautiful flowers.  They are so fun to watch grow and exciting to see them bloom.  They seed themselves and if lucky you will get more next year.  If not,

Lady Baltimore

2869

This Lady Baltimore Hibiscus lives in our yard next to our Lord Baltimore Hibiscus.   A unique find at Archies' Gardenland in Fort Worth, several years ago.   I cannot get enough of these lovely hibiscus.   They bloom in 100 degree heat all summer long.   Full sun, zone 7,

Candle Trees are Off to Magnificent Start

2869

Thanks to Paul our candle trees are off to a great start and I can't wait for them to flower.  We have worked on our garden for over 16 years and I think this is the best one we ever had.   It just keeps getting better just like P and B.

Relaxing in the Shade Garden

2869

Relaxing in the shade garden today while recovering from surgery.  Anxious to get back to the land of the living, but grateful for P and B Garden sanctuary to heal.

Our 2019 Garden

2869

Our garden of 2019 is brillantly colored this year thanks to all the rain we had and Paul's hard work.   The top picture is a David Austin Rose and the bottom is Crepe Mytle and Vitex bush that grew very fast into a tree.  We are hoping the white fly epedemic is behind us.
