Don Juan Rose, a vibrant red, velvety climber.? The first bloom of spring is always the most beautiful.

After last summer, it was wonderful to see the rain fall yesterday. Our Texas Gold Columbine is in full bloom and lovelier than I remembered.

Paul reminded me that our Red Kramer Camellia bloomed late this year, but beautiful it is. Had a fun weekend and got a lot done today in the yard. Thank you Paul for moving all the rocks to make our path pretty.

The sun looked so pretty shining through our windows on Sunday.

Although we had a very mild winter, I wish it could be over. I miss being in the garden.

This year I put an amaryllis bulb in the middle of my paperwhite bulb arrangement. All the paperwhite bulbs bloomed first. I cut off the tops of the paperwhites and left the leaves in the bowl as a backdrop to the amaryllis bulb. It turned out really pretty.

This is a rare picture of us because you are in it Dad. You spent most of your life capturing our lives on film, so were rarely in the picture yourself. I do not think you knew then, how much we would enjoy and treasure all the pictures you took of us over the years now, later in life.?

This year I tried several varieties of Amaryllis bulbs and it was hard to choose my favorite. I can't wait until next Christmas!
